Sadly, due to personal reasons, Marbo had to move back to the East Coast. That means that Black Dream is still searching for a bassist! More info to follow...

November 25th 2013
We have found a new bass player!
Keeping the punk spirit alive, Marbo is used to showing attitude in her music while keeping the pulse with in-your-face rhythms. She moved from New York to the Bay in 2013. Back in New York she played the venues that could hold true, loud rock as the bass player for the band Johnny Mellor's Bastardos. She’s a fireball of high energy so you'll catch her dancing all around the stage during gigs, or to funk and ska records when she’s not playing herself
We are looking forward to start playing shows again in 2014!

October 12th 2013
We regret to announce that our bass player Uncle Lou had to move to the East Coast for personal reasons. With his aggressive style of playing, Uncle Lou was instrumental in taking the band to a new level. He wrote and co-wrote many of our songs that you guys have come to enjoy - Willow Street, Nomar, Love Song, Monster, Falling Down, etc. We played many great shows with him: Thee Parkside, 924 Gilman, Catalyst, Bottom of the Hill, Oakland Metro, Kimo's - there's just too many places to mention.
Although we are sad to lose him, we hope that Uncle Lou will end up in a cool band on the East Coast and his bad ass bass will continue to delight people. We sure will miss him!

February 16th 2013
After taking a break for a few months, we are back in action!
Our next show is at Gilman on Saturday March 23rd at 6pm, sharing stage with a lot of other punk, ska and hip-hop bands!

Our debut CD is going to be out rather soon and will include thirteen (lucky number, huh?) songs
Also, "Black Dream" is going to participate in a compilation tribute CD for Andrey "Svin" Panov - the first ever punk-rocker in Russia, frontman of the band, named "Avtomaticheskie Udovletvoriteli" (established 1979 in St. Petersburg)
This CD should be out next summer. "Black Dream" is going to cover one of the most offensive songs of this band - "Nejtral'naya Polosa" ("Neutral Zone")

Stay tuned for more updates. And Happy New Year to everyone!

December 16, 2001 - Our website is moving! During the last couple of days our site could have been inaccessible.
That is because we periodically exceed bandwidth allotted to us by Geocities.
Apparently quite a lot of you people out there access our site and download our music.
We don’t want to prevent you from doing that, so we decided to say“fuck off”“good bye” to Geocities and go with a better provider.
New site should have unlimited space and bandwidth, so stay tuned for more updates.

November 19, 2001 - Well, we've been all over the place lately.
Mad Heathen was getting wasted in San Diego (for a prolonged period of time). Huyator and Greenpig explored the wonderful city of Seattle.
But we've also been practicing and coming up with new material. We are almost ready to record our first album which will probably be recorded in early December, yet there's no title for it.
As far as the web site goes, the lyrics section is now updated with the translations of russian songs. Check it out.
Also, in about a week we will have our band stickers available FREE OF CHARGE! It’s basically our kickass gothic logo that you see on the site. Write us if you want a sticker @

August 8, 2001 - Some live tracks from our show are up in the music section.
You can check out the two Civil Defense covers, and get a preview of some of our new material such as ‘Voice of Your Tribe’ and ‘Stolen’.

July 25, 2001 - We had a great show at the Stork Club on Sunday. Thanks to all those who showed up, and for those who didn't, we'd still love to see you at our next show. We are going to work on refining and developing some new material, and hopefully get a good studio recording. Look for some new live recordings in our Music Section soon!

July 8, 2001 - We are going to play a show at the Stork Club on Sunday, July 22nd. Last time we were there, Mad Heathen guzzled up all of their Guinness, so if you like beer, you better plan on getting there before he annihilates all of it again. Also, the web page with the pictures from our second concert has been fixed up with some photos added.
